this is a small handmade ceramic jar meant for sugar, spices or coffee, with a little notch in the lid for a spoon. i painted a pattern of postal-stamp shapes around the outside, each filled with simple flower designs, all done in an olive-green underglaze. it’s a sweet, functional piece with a bit of a storybook feel.
